Residence Hall Amenities

Each room provides one Internet port per resident to which a computer equipped with an Ethernet card may be connected, using an ethernet cable. Cables must be provided by students. Students will be required to register their device when they connect to the network. Students must abide by the current Acceptable Use Policy.

All buildings on campus are wireless enabled. However, it is recommended to use Ethernet access when possible due to increased speed and reliability. Additional information about how to connect to the internet can be found at the Office of Technology webpage.

Computer Labs

Public computer labs are available for student use year round. Open hours and locations of each lab are found here. Network printers are available in computer labs.

Air Conditioning

All of our residence halls are air conditioned. Sheil, North, Pope John Paul II, Mother Teresa, and Dorothy Day halls offer climate control thermostats in each room, while other buildings have either building-wide air or window units which run seasonally.

Tips on how to do laundry.

Laundry

Each residence hall has one or more high efficiency laundry rooms with multiple machines in each. Laundry cost is an included amenity built into the cost of room and board. However, students must provide their own laundry soap.

LaundryView is an online laundry room monitoring service. You can view availability of washers and dryers in your building, and how much time is left on all machines. You can also sign-up to receive text message alerts when washers and dryers become available. Students can access LaundryView by visiting .

Mail

The University Mailroom is located in De La Salle Hall across from the bookstore and provides most services of a Post Office except for money orders, passports and the issuing of insurance on packages. The mailroom is open Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 4:30PM.

Resident students must visit the mailroom within the first week of class to claim their mailbox for the year. Once a box is issued a student may retain the same unit number for the entirety of their enrollment.

To receive mail, utilize the address format below:

Dining

For students' convenience there are four dining venues located throughout campus, several of which are located in buildings connected to residence halls. All of the dining venues are operated by Sodexo Services, and more information about hours of operation and options can be found on the dining page.

All residence halls have a communal kitchen for students who prefer to cook a meal on their own once in a while. Residence hall kitchens include an oven, stove, microwave, full size refrigerator, and large sink. Students who plan to use the kitchen should bring their own dishes, cook and bake ware, utensils, etc.

Micro Fridge

Every room on campus includes a microwave and refrigerator unit. In North Hall full size refrigerators and microwaves are shared by the entire suite. In all other residence halls each room is provided with a microfridge unit. A microfridge is a combination mini refrigerator and separate freezer with a microwave attached. These units also provide the resident with extra electrical outlets, their own safety circuits, and are specifically rated for the power provided at Â鶹ԭ´´. Please note: there is a designated outlet for the microfridge unit in each room. It is possible that if your microfridge is not in the proper outlet it will trip the breaker. If you need help identifying this outlet please contact your RA.
