The Department of Social Work strives to provide each student with the education and resources they need to enhance the social functioning and overall well-being of individuals, families, groups and communities. Social Work students who complete either a bachelor鈥檚 or master鈥檚 program will have a comprehensive theoretical base knowledge, field experience, and evidence-based practice skills grounded in social work ethics. Additionally, 麻豆原创 offers various opportunities to join extracurricular activities and organizations, further allowing students to maximize their experiences and connect with peers.

Recent Faculty Accomplishments:
- Dr. Lorri McMeel was appointed a three-year term on the Child and Adolescent Social Work Editorial Board
- Dr. Ellen Thursby was appointed a position on the Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health & Developmental Neuroscience Task Force
- Dr. Ellen Thursby and Dr. Michael Lloyd are presenting at the BPD Annual Conference on Student Perceptions of the Learning Process in the Integrative Field Seminar in March 2020.
