Bio:

Sheila is an experienced professor, executive leadership coach, author specializing in leadership development and coaching. Her experience in enabling positive change, as a leader across multiple industries and roles enables her to bring a blend of corporate leadership and an understanding of team dynamics into play. She supports her clients to grow as leaders, achieve results, and to develop their own leadership competencies.

Sheila brings extensive senior HR experience to the classroom. Prior to starting a leadership coaching and development business, Sheila was a human resources leader in organizations that spanned several industries in both public and private organizations. Her focus was on the people side of the business, including leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and performance optimization. In 2010, Sheila transitioned into full time coaching, leadership development, and teaching at the graduate level. Having navigated the politics and the complexities of managing up, down, and cross functionally, Sheila brings her corporate knowledge and experience to provide a uniquely relevant perspective to her work.

Sheila completed her coaching education at the University of Texas at Dallas in their Executive, Professional and Career Coaching program. She received the highest level of certification as a Master Certified Coach (MCC) from the International Coach Federation. Her doctoral studies at Benedictine University in Organization Development include extensive research on coaching effectiveness and strategic talent development. Since becoming a certified coach over a decade ago, she has worked with over 900 clients in all areas of industry. Her coaching style encompasses solution focused approach that helps individuals and groups to uncover their passion, leadership aptitude, and values and apply these elements to their lives and work.

Sheila brings a unique blend of business experience, leadership development expertise and a solid understanding of what it takes to be successful in today’s organizations. She is recognized for her integrity, commitment to excellence, and ability to deliver results. As a master certified coach, Sheila has worked with executives to be authentic and effective leaders.

Sheila is known as someone who can quickly establish trust and help individuals focus on what’s most important. Her coaching has supported leaders to be able to improve both results and how they work with others. Sheila is passionate about helping leaders increase self-awareness, improve leadership skills, and broaden their understanding of what enables them to be successful.
