Research Proposal Format

1. Lasallian Research Grant Proposal Cover Sheet (FORM A)
2. Title Page
3. Abstract (maximum 250 words)
4. 3-5 page summary providing:
   • Problem
   • Research question(s) addressed by the proposal
   • Purpose and specific aims
   • Background, theoretical framework, and significance to Lasallian mission and a designated focus of Lasallian research
   • Statement addressing how this research will advance the goals of Lasallian Research
   • Methodology (include a description of the research design, sample, facilities/setting, variables including measures and instruments, procedures, data analysis)
   • Description of potential for the study to
     • Benefit underserved populations
     • Impact student learning
5. Cited references
6. The following must be included as appendices
   • Lasallian Research Grant Departmental Approval (FORM B)
   • Biosketch (FORM C)
   • Verification of successful completion of required CITI module on Responsible Conduct of Research
   • If gathering data on/from human subjects, IRB approval must be submitted along with certification of successful completion of required CITI training on protecting human subjects
   • Relevant supporting documents (e.g., attach copies of survey instruments used to collect data, consent forms, and debriefing forms)
   • Budget (FORM D)
   • Timeline (FORM G)
   • Request for Student Research Assistant (FORM F), if relevant
   • List of Consultants (if used)
   • Letters of commitment from collaborating institutions, if applicable.
