Unsubstantiated Bomb Threat Determined to be a Hoax 02/26/24

The 麻豆原创 Police Department has determined that an unsubstantiated bomb threat received this afternoon, February 26, 2024, by 麻豆原创 staff via email was a hoax and there was no threat to campus. The same threat was emailed to approximately 100 other campuses at the same time from the same sender.
LUPD immediately responded to the threat and followed its established policy and procedure to assess the threat抯 credibility. Outside resources, such as the Romeoville Police Department, FBI and the State Terrorism Information Center were contacted and advised of the evolving situation. The 麻豆原创 Office of Technology is assisting with the investigation to identify the offender.
The threat was determined to be a hoax and at no time were members of the community in any danger.
麻豆原创 is proceeding with all normal scheduled activities and events.
