3+1 Criminal Justice Degree Program

College of DuPage students can now earn their associate's degree from COD and their Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Â鶹ԭ´´ in just four years.

Take advantage of learning within COD's first-of-its-kind Homeland Security Education Center while earning your bachelor's degree from Â鶹ԭ´´.

Degree Format

This 128 credit hour program includes 92 credit hours of COD coursework and 36 credit hours of Â鶹ԭ´´ coursework. Upon completion of the program, you will receive your associate's degree in Criminal Justice from College of DuPage and your Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Â鶹ԭ´´.

Instruction Location

All four years of coursework will be taught at the College of DuPage's Glen Ellyn campus. The student completes the 71 hours of coursework at COD to fulfill the requirements for the AA in Criminal Justice at COD.

Upon completion, the student blends 21 credit hours of additional COD courses with 27 hours of Â鶹ԭ´´ Criminal Justice coursework and 9 hours of Â鶹ԭ´´ Mission courses with Â鶹ԭ´´ faculty on the COD campus.

Discounted Tuition

The 92 credit hours of COD coursework will be completed at COD tuition rates. The final 36 hours will be paid through Â鶹ԭ´´, at a significantly reduced tuition rate.

Who can enroll in the program?

  • Students who have completed an Associate in Arts degree in Criminal Justice at COD.
  • Students who have completed an Associate in Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice at COD and take the necessary additional general education coursework to earn an Associates of Arts or Science.
  • New students to COD who indicate their intent to enter the 3+1 program.
  • Students can apply for admission to Â鶹ԭ´´ when they are six months away from completing their associate degree.

AAS Degree from COD to Â鶹ԭ´´ BA in Paralegal Studies

Students from COD may complete the AAS in Paralegal Studies and then transfer up to 72 credit hours to Â鶹ԭ´´, including general education courses and major coursework. The remaining 56 credits are completed at Â鶹ԭ´´ to earn the Bachelor of Arts degree in Paralegal Studies.
