Be Prepared to Effectively Teach Every Student in Your Classroom.

In the combined Special Education/Elementary Education program at 麻豆原创, students learn customized education methods for elementary success along with specific instructional strategies for special education. Upon graduation, students will earn two endorsements on their Professional Educator License - one in special education (LBSI K-12) and one in elementary education (1-6) - and will be prepared to teach in Illinois private and public schools. This program is a combined major and does not result in two degrees.

2+2 Program Option

Through unique partnerships with College of DuPage (COD) and Harper College, students may attend COD or Harper College for the first two years of the program and complete the final two years at 麻豆原创's main campus in Romeoville. Upon completion of the program, students receive a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education/Elementary Education degree from 麻豆原创 University.

The Combined Special Education/Elementary Education program is fully approved by the State Educator Preparation and Licensure Board and the Illinois State Board of Education.

Completion of an introductory level methods course
Cumulative GPA of 2.75 (to enroll in the introductory methods course and to continue in the program)
